The Agafay Desert of Morocco sits on outskirts of Marrakech. The Agafay Desert is just an hour’s drive from the bustling souks, the Majorelle Garden, the Koutoubia Mosque and the heart of Marrakech. The Agafay Desert is an undeveloped area and is the perfect one-day excursion from Marrakech

Pick Up & Drop Off
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech city, many riads does not have access by car so the driver will park nearby and come to get you.
You will be dropped off at the nearest point to your riad/hotel, our driver can call your riad to meet you if needed.
Route Details
Day 01
Marrakech – Agafay Desert
Travel aboard a comfortable bus from Marrakesh and arrive in the Agafay Desert after just 40 minutes of driving. Leave the noisy city behind and immerse yourself in nature. Admire the unique rolling hills as you pass by Berber villages on the way to the desert of Agafay.
Follow a path through mud houses that are hundreds of years old. Stop close to a beautiful camp to take in views of the sunset while partaking in some Moroccan sweets. Experience local flavors with a tasty dinner of salads, tajines, bread, and couscous.
After dinner, watch a traditional show while listening to Berber music around the campfire. Return to Marrakech after this incredible excursion.

Personal baggage, cooking equipment and food are carried by the mules, leaving you to carry only a rucksack with whatever you need close at hand for the day. NB: Left luggage or unnecessary luggage can be left safely in our storage in Imlil till you come back from the trek.
