Me
and Maren only want to thank you again for the great trip you have
organized for us in the Atlas mountains (Toubkal Ascent Cicular
route via Azzaden valley 3days/2night). Everything worked out
perfect: the pickup, the trip itself (with your great guide lahcen
and “muledriver” and cook Ali) and bringing us back to marrakesh, as
you have answered and told me in all of the mails with questions I
have sent you
J
There are many other guides there but Lahcen REALLY IS special
compared to the other guides we have witnessed during our trip and
on the refuges. And this fact is not only related to his open and
kind behaviour or his English and general languages skills! You were
able to notion this too with the little things: Lahcen provided us
with little snacks (nuts, dates, etc) during our trip and we always
had a great time together, either if it was counting the 89 zig zags
or trying to aim at some rocks.
And
the meals Ali fixed us during the track with the given
possibilities: GREAT! We never had better support of food and meals
during the whole 4 weeks we stayed in morocco than within these 3
days!
Please forward our best wishes too to Lahcen and Ali!

great for children too.

however our guide did treks
up toubkal, through the
hills passing local villages
and in the desert depending
on the time of year.
he comes highly recommended,

I have ever had.
The M’Goun trek
had great scenery and it was easier than Toukbal so in a sense I
enjoyed it more. The first gite at Agouti was amazing, very clean and
we also had a good meal. But climbing Toukbal was a magnificent
experience. Ibrahim was very supportive, I would not have made it up
Toukbal without his help. Thanks for the service and support you
gave us. I will send you some photos very soon.
My wife has
recovered well and she liked the gifts I bought her in Marrakesh.
She says hello and wants to come to Morocco.

Thanks for organising our various activities in Morocco in June.
Some feedback for your use:
Trek
We were very happy with our itinerary, and appreciated your
tailoring the route to our requirements. Mohamed and Ali provided
first-class care. We came to the High Atlas to climb Jbel
Toubkal, but in the end, the four days before Jbel Toubkal were
the highlight, especially the walking around Tizgui and going
over Aguelzim.
Drive
Ibrahim was an excellent driver. We felt safe with him at all
times, and found his English very good. We highly recommend the
route that we took, doing your 'Erg Chebbi' tour but continuing
onto Fes rather than returning to Marrakech. The drive from Erg
Chebbi onto Fes was fantastic, especially driving through the
Middle Atlas and visiting the Barbary Apes.
Please pass our comments onto Mohamed, Ali and Ibrahim.

Before I return to everyday life, I wanted to thank you for a
wonderful experience. Our trek was blessed with a great guide, a
great cook, and hardworking and humorous muleteers. They took us
into a world that was beautiful, unfamiliar and fascinating, and
they never failed to be solicitous of our various needs and failings.
(In this vein, I was very touched that you and Abdou came to La
Roseraie to give me back the walking sticks, which are now safely
stowed in my home). I have already had one request for a
recommendation (there is a meeting of population specialists in
Marrkech in October, and a professor I encountered said he wanted to
take a trek before the meeting started). I now must figure out how
to get back to Morocco and do another trek with the rest of my
family.

We'd like to say a huge thank you for arranging such a marvellous trek for us.
Right from the start you handled the arrangements delightfully - clear, flexible
when we changed our plans and without fuss. You will have seen, from the warmth
of feeling at our farewell to Ahmed, how beautifully he had looked after us
throughout the trek, 24 hours a day. He made some execellent decisions , about
the route and where we would stay. Without him, we could not possibly have
navigated or made contact with Berber families. He explained and lit up the
places we walked through. He managed the men well. And he was very funny. Ali
our cook, and all the four muleteers - Ali, Lahcen, Mohamed and Omar - were
exceptionally friendly, attentive to us beyong the call of duty and worked hard.
We felt priveleged to have been brought close to the High Atlas and to the
Berber people who live there - even if only for a few days. We learnt much.

We did a 4 day trek in the High Atlas Mountains including a summit trip to Jabel
Toubkal. The trip was arranged in its entirety by Mohamed Aztat to our utmost
satisfaction. He is well versed with the entire Atlas region (he is a Berber by
origin and local to the Imlil region) and customized our trip depending on our
exact needs. Starting with our Riad accommodation in Imlil which was superb, our
delicious meals and camping arrangements, to a generous sprinkling of tales of
local colour, Mohamed made our trip truly enjoyable. I highly recommend him for
his exuberance, friendliness and expert mountain skills. He truly loves his job
and the region he grew up and lives in. His fluency in English (he also speaks
French, Arabic and Berber; he is working on adding Spanish to his repertoire)
allowed free communication and it enabled to satisfy my curiosity about Morocco,
the mountains, Berbers and the like. Having travelled and hiked all over the
world, Mohamed definitely holds up my standard for a great mountain guide in a
foreign country.

we organized our trip at 10 days notice using Mohamed Aztat. we based our choice
on two personal reviews on the internet & the entry in the Lonely Planet guide
book.
We were not diapointed Mohamed arranged a 4 day trek with mule, guide, cook...
the organisation was very good. Every stop was planned and we were expected in
every gite. There were plenty supplies and the route was not so long.
I would recommend Mr Aztat to any one who wanted a tour in Toubkal.
In Summary, he is efficient & effective tour organiser. he was previously a
guide, so his experience shows. Every one in Toubkal seems to know him. his
prices were reasonable.
This my first time in Morocco. I did not know Mohamed, Hassan (guide), Samir (cook),
but I am so impressed on my first trip, that when I return, they are top of my
list to use again.

Our trekking trip with Lahcen was fantastic. He was a terrific guide. His
English language skills were great and we enjoyed his sense of humor. I
would be surprised if you had a better guide working with you!!

realized just how good his food was! Again, I can't say enough about them

We have just returned from a very successful trek to Morocco. We were very
impressed with all the organisation: from being collected in Marrakech to the
final pick up in Imlil. During the trek our guide, muleteer and cook were all
charming and helpful. They fed us extremely well. All in all, we thoroughly
enjoyed this holiday which has given us insight into the lives of the Berber
people and some wonderful memories.

It was absolutely fantastic, they were both above and beyond my expectations.
They were so understanding when Renee couldn't do the original trek. Apart from
me accidently calling Ali, Allah all the time which they thought was very funny,
how silly of me.
I have already told my friends about Ousaine and how much fun he is so they will
probably get in contact with you to use him again next year when they go.

Dear Mohamed,
I am very satisfied with everything during my Toubkal trekking. That was my
first experience of high mountaines, everything was great and I am happy that I
success to climb to the top ( with all my health problems).
I think that your price is normal for everything what your service include and
for such a serious thing like 4000 m climbing.
Brahim and Ali were great company during the travel. I am very satisfied with
both of them. Brahim explained me many things about mountain and he was with me
all the time during trekking. I had altitude problems, (strong headache and
weakness) and it was very difficult to me to go to the top. Brahim was going
with me slowly, helped me and near the end he adviced me to go back if I can't
climb more. I am very thankful to him because of all his help.
Ali was great too. I am sorry becuse I couldn't speak with him more because of
language problems but he came to me many times and asked me about my health
problems. His food was very good and tasty , much more better then in Marrakesh
restorants.
After trek I tipped them both and I gave them something of my winter clothes.
All in all, everything was great and I am very glad that I was your client.
I will recommend you to my friends in future .
